The traditional Chinese way of thinking is not summarizing, reasoning or deduction, but based on facts. The Chinese rely on existing experience and knowledge, to recognize, understand and judge the true nature and rules of objective matters as a whole.
In terms of value orientation, westerners value self-centeredness, individuals, and competition; while Chinese value group, society, and harmony. Western values hold that individuals are the starting point of human society.
Chinese sense of values emphasize group awareness, social consciousness, and that individuals' interests should serve the interests of the whole society. And only the whole society is well developed, can the individuals gain maximum interests.
