Products Exported to SCO Countries Equipped with "Economic Passport"

On November 12, the SCODA Approval Center for Certificates of Origin was officially launched. It is China's first approval center for certificates of origin specializing in serving the economic and trade cooperation with SCO member states. This center was jointly built by SCODA Administrative Committee and Qingdao Customs. It is an integral part of the Virtual Approval Center for Certificates of Origin of Qingdao Customs, and will provide the products exported to SCO countries with special "economic passport".

After the launch of the SCODA Approval Center for Certificates of Origin, it will combine the advantages of SCODA's platform and capital with the advantages of intelligence and technology in the customs, so as to create a comprehensive public service system. The center will verify the origin of the products exported to SCO countries, approve and issue the electronic certificate of origin. It will also take into consideration the different tax rates of the member states of the RCEP agreement, the different tax rates between the old and new agreements, and the complexity of the rules of the place of origin, thus carrying out tariff policy consultation, and preliminary review of the place of origin and other preparative services for the enterprises in Qingdao and Shandong at large. It will also provide technical support for companies regarding tariff concession and rules of the place of origin, so as to promote products export to SCO countries through measures of facilitation.
