China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade Attended Opening Ceremony of United Nations Cross-Border E-Commerce Workshop on Invitation
The opening ceremony of the workshop on poverty alleviation through cross-border e-commerce and sustainable development capacity building for youth from developing countries was held on the evening of March 21. The workshop aims to help reduce poverty by enhancing the capacity of developing countries to engage in cross-border e-commerce. More than 1,100 students from governments, enterprises and international organizations of 94 countries signed up for the workshop. China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade attended the opening ceremony on invitation.
The five-day workshop will be held from March 21 to 25. Experts and scholars from the Department of Foreign Trade of Ministry of Commerce and institutes such as Tsinghua University will lecture on "present situation and prospects of global cross-border e-commerce" and "China's policies and practices in promoting cross-border e-commerce" for students from all over the world, exchange ideas on the present situation, trend and ecosystem construction of the global cross-border e-commerce, share China's cross-border e-commerce operation mode, entrepreneurship pathway and the practice of poverty alleviation through e-commerce, and discuss exploring the Chinese market by cross-border e-commerce.
