Exchange Meeting Between Uzbekistan Ambassador to China and Chinese Enterprises Held

In order to further promote the investment and trade exchanges and cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, and build a platform for mutual communication and dialogue between enterprises of the two countries, on July 27, the exchange meeting between the Uzbekistans Ambassador to China and Chinese enterprises was held at the SCO Service Center. Nearly 50 Chinese enterprises attended the meeting offline. Farhod Arziyev, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in China, and Zhang Dong, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA, attended.

Farhod Arziyev said that Uzbekistan is one of the first countries to support China's Belt and Road Initiative, and this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Uzbekistan and China, and the two countries enjoy a comprehensive strategic partnership. The pragmatic cooperation between the two countries has been deepened in the multilateral field, especially in the economic and trade field, and positive interaction and mutual support have also been carried out within the framework of multilateral institutions such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Meanwhile, Farhod Arziyev invited the enterprises, investors and the representatives of importers of Shandong to actively participate in the investment projects initiated by Uzbekistan, facilitate the high-quality goods of Uzbekistan manufacturers to enter the Chinese market, such as fresh and dried fruit, and explore cooperation in medicine, building materials, agricultural products, electrical equipment, wine and other fields.

In his speech, Zhang Dong said that China and Uzbekistan are deepening the synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and the "New Uzbekistan" development strategy. The economic and trade departments of the two countries are actively implementing the development plan for China-Uzbekistan economic, trade and investment cooperation, which has unlimited potential and broad prospects. Zhang Dong also hoped to take this meeting as an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges between Chinese and Uzbekistan’s enterprises. He said "We will leverage the new platform for international cooperation of SCODA to channel more economic, trade, scientific, technological and financial resources, promote the integration of the industrial, supply and value chains between Qingdao and Uzbekistan, and deepen the pragmatic cooperation with Uzbekistan in logistics, trade, agriculture, science and technology, energy, finance and other fields to share development opportunities and create a better future.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in China promoted the investment potential in Uzbekistan. During the exchange and interaction session, the participating Chinese enterprises exchanged views on practical economic and trade cooperation with Nurkin Mamazanov, the Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China.
