Deepening Cross-border Connectivity, China-Pakistan Business, Tourism and Culture Exchange Center Officially Unveiled
On January 18, 2021, Moin ul Haque, Pakistani Ambassador to China visited Qingdao Tourism Group and met with Wang Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee, and President, and Ren Xianhui, Deputy General Manager of Qingdao International Conference Center and Tourism Group. The two sides discussed promoting China-Pakistan two-way tourism, cultural exchange, and the operation of a joint venture in the SCODA.

H.E. Ambassador Moin ul Haque and President Wang Hong together unveiled the China-Pakistan Business, Tourism and Culture Exchange Center—the latest achievement of cooperation. Officials from the Qingdao Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and the Administrative Committee of the SCODA participated in the ceremony and witnessed the unveiling.
In October 2020, the three sides of Pakistan Corporate Service Center, the International Exchange Center of Qingdao Tourism Group, and the Pakistan (China) Economic Cooperation Center jointly signed a cooperation agreement to set up the SCO (Qingdao) International Business, Tourism and Culture Exchange Center Co.Ltd. The China-Pakistan Business, Tourism and Culture Exchange Center unveiled this time is one of the main platforms focusing on exploring the Pakistani market. It will efficiently promote China-Pakistan cooperation in an all-round manner. Originated from the SCODA, a diversity of multinational cooperation in foreign affairs, tourism, research and education, conference and exhibition will also grow from this high-quality platform, rendering the bilateral friendship deeper on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Pakistan.
Since the 2018 SCO Qingdao Summit, Qingdao Tourism Group firmly upheld the philosophy of "Expanding the effects and releasing the bonus of the summit, responding to the national strategy and support the building of the demonstration area", seized the momentum to seek breakthroughs, and took courageous and decisive actions, thus bringing into being the SCO (Qingdao) International Business, Tourism and Culture Exchange Center. The center is a joint venture by the International Exchange Center of Qingdao Tourism Group and Pakistan Corporate Service Center, with a registered capital of 35 million USD. It will actively carry out two-way tourism, cultural exchange, conference and exhibition, vocational training, product sales on the basis of exploring the Pakistani market. It will also further expand business, tourism, and cultural cooperation with other SCO countries on top of this platform, contributing to deepening the friendship between the peoples of China and Pakistan, and creating a community with a shared future for mankind.
The year 2021 will witness two milestone moments marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of SCO, and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Pakistan. Qingdao Tourism Group will fully leverage the SCO (Qingdao) International Business, Tourism and Culture Exchange Center as a bridge and platform. Qingdao Tourism Group has already proceeded with China-Pakistan Boutique Corridor, a series of bilateral cultural exchanges, and Karachi Undersea World, in a view to seek breakthroughs with the strength of capital, and support Qingdao in becoming a city leading Chinese culture export and international exchanges and interaction.
