SCO Secretary-General Met with Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism Hu Heping

On 23 March, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming held a meeting with Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism Hu Heping, during which they exchanged in-depth views on SCO exchanges and cooperation in the field of culture and tourism.

Zhang Ming expressed the readiness to further strengthen coordination with China and other SCO member states to promote cultural and tourism cooperation to play a bigger role in the development process of SCO, strengthen exchanges and understanding among the peoples of various countries, promote the prosperity and development of SCO region, and make greater contributions to maintaining regional security and stability and promoting global peace and development.

Hu Heping said that China would continue to strengthen the multilateral cooperation mechanism in the field of culture and tourism, and enhance the international influence of the cooperation brands of SCO member states. He also expressed that China would continue to support the work of SCO Secretariat and jointly push SCO cooperation in culture and tourism to a new level.
