On the afternoon of April 29, the Shandong-Pskov Oblast Cooperation and Exchange Conference & Famous Silk Road Cities Dialogue: Jining-Pskov Dialogue was held in Jinan, Qingdao, Jining and Pskov of Russia via video link. Zhang Jiangting, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Shandong Provincial People's Congress, and Madame Ninelli Saragaeva, Vice Governor of Pskov Oblast, Russia, attended and delivered speeches. The parliaments, departments of economy and trade, and culture from the two provinces participated and exchanged ideas. SCODA participated and made the promotion on the invitation. It has also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Mogrino Special Economic Region of Russia.
Zhang Jiangting said that Shandong was an important place of origin of Chinese civilization, and Pskov also boasted a long history. He hoped that the two sides could leverage the role of exchanges and cooperation between the two parliaments, work as a bridge and link to boost friendship, mutual trust and people-to-people bond, promote pragmatic cooperation in sister city exchanges, economic and trade, and cultural areas, and create boutique projects of sister city cooperation in key areas.
Li Gang, Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA said that SCODA was accelerating the construction of the Ruyi Lake Commercial Complex, actively promoting the construction of platforms such as the International Energy Exchange, China-Russia Mechanical and Electrical Industrial Park and China-Russia Center, and continuously deepening the cooperation with Russia in bulk commodity, agriculture, energy, digital economy and industrial park construction, etc. He hoped this meeting could further broaden the bilateral cooperation platform, and enable the two sides to share development opportunities and create a better future.
A series of pragmatic cooperation fruits and the consensus in areas of economy and trade, culture and education have been reached at the meeting. Xiang Zhiqiang, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA signed a memorandum of cooperation with Mogrino Special Economic Region of Russia on behalf of SCODA.
