On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Armenia, Qingdao and Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, established friendly cooperative relations, contributing to the promotion of the friendship between the two countries. On the morning of June 17, Zhao Haozhi, Vice Secretary of the CPC Qingdao Committee, and Mayor of Qingdao met with Sergey Manasaryan, Armenian Ambassador to China, at the office building of the municipal government.

Zhao Haozhi hoped that the two sides will carry out more pragmatic and effective exchanges and cooperation on economic and trade cooperation, culture and tourism.

Sergey Manasaryan hoped that, on the basis of the friendly cooperative relations between Qingdao and Yerevan, both sides could further deepen practical cooperation and promote bilateral exchanges in various fields to a new level.

2022 Thematic Events of "Sister City Cooperation for a Shared Future"--Qingdao-Yerevan Online Dialogue on Friendly Cooperation was held in Qingdao and Yerevan. Sergey Manasaryan, Armenian Ambassador to China, and Fan Yong, Chinese Ambassador in Armenia attended the event and delivered speeches. Liu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Committee, Vice Mayor of Qingdao, and Levon Hovhannisyan, First Vice Mayor of Yerevan, delivered speeches and signed the agreement on the establishment of friendly cooperative cities relationship.
