New driving forces were added to the investment promotion of the SCO Demonstration Area. On April 13, the ceremony for appointing Investment Promotion Ambassadors for China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area was held in Jiaozhou, Qingdao. 8 prestigious persons from Chinese and foreign business associations, famous international companies, and research institutes were appointed as the Investment Promotion Ambassadors of the SCO Demonstration Area. Liu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Committee, Secretary of CPC Jiaozhou Committee, Secretary of the Party and Working Committee, and Director General of the Administrative Committee of SCO Demonstration Area attended the ceremony, and gave away the letters of appointment to the Investment Promotion Ambassadors.

It was introduced that the Investment Promotion Ambassadors would focus on improving the levels of internationalization, professionalization and marketization of the investment promotion and talent recruitment of the SCO Demonstration Area.
