Cloud Meeting for Common Development: Liu Jianjun Holds Video Talks with Ambassadors
On April 2, a video meeting themed "Cloud Meeting for Common Development" was held at Service Center, SCODA. Liu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Committee and Secretary of CPC Jiaozhou Committee, talked with Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun and Deputy Ambassador of Tajikistan to China Muhammed Igormonzod via video link and introduced SCODA and the construction of the "five centers".
Liu says in his remarks that President Xi Jinping announced at the 18th Meeting of the Council of Heads of States of SCO on June 10, 2018 that the Chinese Government supports the establishment of China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area in Qingdao. At present, SCODA is stepping up development to build a pilot area of institutional innovation, a cluster for business start-ups, a pioneer of economic and trade cooperation and an area for higher-level opening up facing SCO and "Belt and Road" countries. To further expand bilateral cooperation, effort is made to accelerate the construction of "five centers", namely, international logistics center, modern trade center, two-way investment cooperation center, business travel and cultural exchange development center, and marine cooperation center. Liu asks the ambassadors to introduce chambers of commerce and associations in mining resources, agricultural products, featured products to the International Cooperation Hub for SCO Countries, and jointly promote cooperation in such areas as supply chain services and international logistics, and expand cultural exchanges by putting in place mechanisms aimed for deeper and more fruitful cooperation. SCODA promises to provide an excellent business environment with the most convenient Customs clearance and the most efficient governmental services, so as to achieve common development and win-win cooperation.
Liu agrees with the proposals and suggestions made by Ambassador Oratmangun and Deputy Ambassador Muhammed Igormonzod on furthering cooperation in relevant fields. Liu hopes to promote in-depth cooperation with SCO and "Belt and Road" countries in international logistics, modern trade, two-way investment, business travel and culture, and in the marine field by facilitating partnerships between companies from our countries and promoting bilateral and multilateral business interactions.
Meng Qingsheng, Deputy Director of SCODA Administrative Committee, attended the meeting.
