Pakistan-China Center

I. Project Profile

The total investment is 1.7 billion RMB, with a land area of 23 mu, and a planned floor area of 130,000 square meters above ground and 60,000 square meters underground. It will be invested in and built by Pakistan-China Center. Pakistan-China Center takes a leading position in promoting the profound and all-around cooperation in various areas between the two countries. Once the project is completed, a series of institutions will be set up and put into operation, including Pakistan Talents Center, Visa Service Center, Products Showcase and Trade Center, Two-way Culture, Tourism and Education Exchanges Center, China-Pakistan Cross-border E-commerce Trade Center, Financial Center, Pakistan Investment Center, China-Pakistan Two-way Investment Companies' Headquarter, China-Pakistan Scientific Innovation Park, and Platform for Pakistani Business Associations.

II. Project Progress

On November 20, 2020, the same day as the group signing ceremony, the Cooperation Intention Framework Agreement of China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area-Pakistan-China Center was signed. The details of the preliminary design are being refined, according to the solicited suggestions regarding the planning, construction, functional structure, commercial and residential ratio. The suggestions are provided by Jiaozhou Bureau of Natural Resources, the SCODA Institute of Natural Resources, the First Institute of Architectural Design & Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Qingdao Subsidiary of Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute (Group) Co., Ltd. The new designing scheme will be provided this week.

III. Measures and Plans

We will urge the project manager to provide the designing scheme, choose the location for the project as per the designing scheme, and complete the rest of the planning and design as soon as possible.
