Press Conference on 2021 SCO Marathon Series Held on Great Wall

On April 30th, on the most scenic Badaling Great Wall, the press conference on 2021 SCO Marathon Series was held.

Representatives from the embassies of SCO Family, senior Chinese officials, and over 30 Chinese and foreign journalists participated. Vladimir Norov, SCO Secretary General, Li Hui, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs, Zohir Saidzoda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the rotating presidency of SCO, the Republic of Tajikistan to the People's Republic of China announced that 2021 SCO Marathon Series would soon commence.

During the press conference, Li Hui, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs pointed out that the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics shared the same spirit and philosophy with SCO Marathon Series. He concluded:" Olympic spirit advocates mutual understanding, friendship, solidarity and fair competition, which is highly consistent with Shanghai Spirit". As an international competition initiated by and named after SCO, SCO Kunming International Marathon encourages athletes from all over the world to run for the same goal, challenge themselves, share experiences, deepen mutual understanding and form solidarity."
