SCO Traditional Medicine Forum Held in Nanchang

On July 28, 2021, invited by the SCO Committee on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhang Haizhou, SCO Vice Secretary-General attended SCO Traditional Medicine Forum held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.

On the morning of July 29, the delegation of SCO Secretariat, SCO diplomats in China and the representatives from foreign missions, along with the leaders of Jiangxi Province, visited the Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum of Jiangxi University, CR Jiangzhong, and the traditional Chinese medicine exhibition hall of the traditional Chinese medicine science city, to learn about the origin and history of Chinese medicine, the variety, usage and preparation of traditional medicine, as well as the use of innovative robots in traditional medicine production companies.

The attendants recognized and supported the effect of traditional medicine in fighting against the pandemic, and acknowledged that traditional medicine was provided to many countries as aid. The Forum pointed out that it was necessary to enhance cooperation in this field among SCO member states.
