Joint Communique of Outcomes of Defense Ministers' Meeting of SCO Member States
On July 28, the Republic of Tajikistan hosted the Defense Ministers' Meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (hereinafter referred to as SCO or this organization) Member States in Dushanbe.
The Ministers agreed to continue the cooperation to strengthen the safety and stability of SCO regions, in the face of escalating potential conflicts, COVID pandemic and lasting serious threats of terrorism in the world. The Ministers would like to further develop the cooperation among armed forces, welcome Russia to invite SCO member states to participate in the "West-2021" joint strategic exercise by the Republic of Belarus and Russian Federation Armed Forces.
For the purpose of consolidating the good neighborliness and friendship among SCO member states, protect the peace, safety and stability of this organization, the Defense Ministers supported stepping up the pragmatic cooperation between this organization and regional partnership organizations.
