SCO Secretariat continues to receive letters of thanks after SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov ended his term of office.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Vladimirovich Makei noted in his letter that Norov's work was productive and his activities varied. The results of his work are outstanding and make the SCO a true family of all member states.

"The SCO is now becoming one of the key links in the development of open and equal cooperation in the Eurasian region. The initiatives you have personally initiated and promoted in areas of security, digital economy and humanitarianism are vivid proof of your commitment to your cause, and your sincere and responsible attitude to the principles of the ‘Shanghai Spirit’." The Belarusian Foreign Minister concluded.

The Islamic Republic of Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian expressed his gratitude to SCO Secretary-General in his letter, stressing in particular that Norov's work provided the necessary basic conditions for launching the process of the Islamic Republic of Iran's accession to the SCO and reached the agreement.

"As an efficient international organization, the SCO plays an important role in maintaining regional security, peace and stability, strengthening solidarity and mutually beneficial multilateral cooperation, and safeguarding the economic prosperity of its member states. Despite the global outbreak of COVID-19 during your term of office as SCO Secretary-General, the SCO has remained dynamic and has operated successfully in all the above areas."
