SCO Leadership Visits Beijing for Interview and Investigation

On March 26, Meng Qingsheng, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee, the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA), visited the Investment Promotion Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the Russia-China Investment Fund in Beijing, touching upon and exchanging views on affairs concerned.

 

At the Investment Promotion Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, Meng Qingsheng sincerely invited officials of the bureau to attend the 2021 SCO International Investment and Trade Expo. Meng also exchanged his views with the officials on further bilateral investment and multilateral cooperation. Officials of the Investment Promotion Affairs Bureau fully affirmed the significant achievements made through the construction and development of the SCODA and the role the SCODA has played as a national strategic platform in promoting the in-depth cooperation between China and other SCO countries and Belt and Road countries, and expressed that they would seek more opportunities for a broader scope for cooperation, building the SCODA into a new highland for international investment.


During his visit to the Russia-China Investment Fund, Meng Qingsheng explained the business requirements of the SCODA for building a cooperation platform, integrating financial resources, and serving the bilateral economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and Russian companies. According to officials of the Russia-China Investment Fund, the SCODA is an important platform for promoting local economic and trade cooperation between China and other SCO countries. Bearing national strategies, the SCODA is highly compatible with the strategic goals of the fund. Russia-China Investment Fund would love to strengthen cooperation with the demonstration area and to advance current works, thereby fulfilling more and more goals of the collaboration.
