SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board Established
On March 17, the SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board was officially established in Jiaozhou, Qingdao. Liu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Committee, Secretary of CPC Jiaozhou Committee, Secretary of SCODA Party Committee, and Director General of SCODA Administrative Committee, addressed the ceremony. Those who attended the ceremony also include 13 members of the SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board: Zhao Ai, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General, China Society of Economic Reform, and Chairman of the SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board; Hu Zheng, former CEO of China-Belarus Industrial Park, Director of China Development Institution (CDI) in Shenzhen, Chief Expert and Contract Research Fellow of “The Belt and Road Initiative” Innovative Development Research, CDI, and Executive Vice Chairman of the SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board; Hu Jinyan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Qingdao University, and Senior Consultant of SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board, etc.
Liu Jianjun and Zhao Ai were invited to officially unveil the SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board. Liu Jianjun issued letters of appointment to all members of the SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board. Meng Qingsheng, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the SCODA introduced the SCODA and the SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board.
It is reported that the SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board has been established to further fulfill the requirements of "strengthening the building of a new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics" and to better meet the requirements of high-quality development for the SCODA. The SCODA Development Expert Advisory Board comprises 15 members including experts and scholars from research institutions (think tanks) related to SCO and "The Belt and Road Initiative", entrepreneurs with rich experience in SCO countries, as well as experts and scholars in such fields as strategic design, development and planning, international public relationship, industrial development, finance, international trade, law, and logistics. With profound professional backgrounds and a high level of academic accomplishment and decision-making and advisory capabilities, these experts and scholars enjoy high prestige and widespread influence in the industry, who are familiar with situations of the SCODA and will research into strategic issues concerning construction and development of the SCODA and offer forward-looking, scientific and highly feasible proposals accordingly.
