2021 SCO Expo & SCO Forum on Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Opened in Qingdao

On April 26th, 2021 SCO International Investment and Trade Expo & SCO Qingdao Forum on Local Economic and Trade Cooperation opened in Jiaozhou, Qingdao. This expo themed on "Sharing Opportunities Brought by the SCO, Pursuing Common and Open Development". It lasted for 3 days, including the opening ceremony, Qingdao Forum, promotion by envoys of SCO countries in China and negotiations of enterprises' investment and trade.

On the opening ceremony, the General Administration of Customs of China published China's trade development index to SCO member states. The Liaison Office of the SCO China Business Council, and the Liaison Office of the Joint Conference Mechanism for Former Commerce Diplomats of the Ministry of Commerce was unveiled.

During the signing ceremony, Qingdao signed agreements on establishing sister city relationship with 4 cities including Faisalabad of Pakistan, the SCODA signed agreements on establishing friendly relationship with 19 industrial parks or institutions including Sino-Tajikistan Industrial Park of Tajikistan. And 20 key projects with a total investment of 66.8 billion RMB were signed.
