Official Belt and Road Representative of Belarus Visited SCODA for Negotiation

On September 17, Meng Qingsheng, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the SCODA met with Chivier Maria, the Official Belt and Road Representative of Belarus, and Fang Peng, Director of Qingdao International Conference and Exchange Center at SCO Service Center. The two sides discussed economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and building the platform of the China-Belarus Center together.

Meng Qingsheng hoped the two sides could leverage the advantages of China-Belarus international trains, push for the construction of the China-Belarus Center, and bring the economic and trade cooperation to a higher level, yielding new achievements.

Chivier Maria hoped that by January 2022, which will be the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Belarus, Belarus and the SCODA could see the landing of the China-Belarus Center, a comprehensive center on logistics, economy and trade, commercial, tourism and cultural cooperation. She would also like to leverage SCO advantages, open up the channels for international multimodal transport, upgrade industrial cooperation, and build more demonstration projects of China-Belarus interaction. The goal is to lay a solid foundation of bilateral economic and trade, cultural and people-to-people exchange, so as to bring the cooperation to a higher level.
