New Model for Customs and Local Government Cooperation with Outstanding Achievements

On September 17, the Port Supervision Division of Qingdao Customs and Jiaozhou Customs visited the SCODA, and inspected the logistics supervision of SCODA Customs and TIR business. Meng Qingsheng, Member of the Party Working Committee, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the SCODA participated in the meeting.

Meng Qingsheng hoped Qingdao Customs could continue to play a leading role in supporting the development of the SCODA in areas including expanding the port function of SCO Multimodal Transport Center, building TIR customs supervision site, creating a comprehensive service information platform for multimodal transport, cross-border e-commerce, etc.

The head of the Port Supervision Division of Qingdao Customs said that Qingdao Customs will explore the path for future implementation, and form a joint working group with the Administrative Committee of the SCODA, Jiaozhou Customs, Huangdao Customs and other institutions. Qingdao Customs will also continue to innovate on work pattern, promote interaction between customs and between customs and local authorities, in order to expand SCO channels, accelerate the gathering of SCO characteristics, highlight SCO elements,promote the diversity and opening up of SCO features, and make new breakthroughs in building a new platform for Belt and Road international cooperation.
