China-SCO District Courts and Justices Forum Held in Qingdao

From November 29 to December 1, Zhou Qiang, President of the Supreme People's Court attended the opening ceremony of the China-SCO District Courts and Justices Forum held in Qingdao and delivered a speech. He also inspected various works in Qingdao and Jinan, regarding the People's Courts playing the judicial functions, serving the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River reach, and serving the national strategy of building a major maritime country.

Zhou Qiang hoped that all parties could build consensus, practice genuine multilateralism and jointly safeguard the international system with the United Nations as the core and the international order based on international law.

Li Ganjie, Secretary of the CPC Provincial Committee attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He said that we would take this forum as an opportunity to learn from the judicial experience and practices of various countries, provide more high-quality foreign-related legal services, comprehensively expand international judicial cooperation, build SCODA with higher quality based on the rule of law, and strive to make the due contribution of Shandong for jointly building the Belt and Road, and creating a community with a shared future for mankind.

Vladimir Norov, SCO Secretary-General said in his speech that, he hoped that all parties could deepen exchanges and cooperation and strengthen mutual judicial assistance, give full play to the important role of justice in stabilizing business expectation, eliminating trade barriers, and improving the level of trade liberalization and facilitation, and work together to provide high-level judicial support for the new development of trade and investment of SCO countries.

Prior to the opening ceremony, China-SCO Countries Judge Exchange Base was unveiled.
