Transfar International Logistics Port
The project, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, covers a land area of about 1,500 mu and a gross floor area of 989,000 m2. It is located to the east of Wuliu Avenue, north of Luanhe Road, and west of Jiaoda Avenue in the SCODA. It was invested by Zhejiang Transfar Group, which ranks 73rd among the top 500 private enterprises in China and is mainly engaged in chemical, logistics, agriculture, science and technology, investment, and other industries, with three listed companies. Three sections of logistics functional area, e-commerce logistics headquarters functional area, and information and finance functional area will be built. The project will integrate logistics procurement, financial services, e-commerce, and other resources, and create a three-dimensional logistics network system for multimodal transportation by relying on highway logistics and connecting road, railway, aviation, and sea transportation. In particular, by seizing the opportunity of the SCODA construction, the project will strengthen cooperation with countries (regions) along the “Belt and Road” to build a supply chain service highland based in Shandong, facing the whole country, and oriented towards Central and East Asia, Shandong Peninsula e-commerce (domestic and cross-border) headquarters, and a logistics hub in East China.
The logistics functional area, with a floor area of 200,000 m2, mainly includes the information trading center, the logistics enterprise headquarters, the e-commerce exhibition center, the storage center, and the drivers’ home. Currently, the area has been put into use and attracted more than 400 logistics enterprises of all kinds. In 2019, it achieved an operating income of 8.5 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 618 million yuan.
Current progress: The first and second phases of the logistics functional area have been completed and put into use; the third phase has completed land procedures, and the planning scheme design is underway. The first phase of the construction of the 90,000 m2 e-commerce logistics headquarters functional area and the information and finance functional area is underway.
Upon full operation of these functional areas, the project will attract more than 2,000 logistics enterprises, with an annual operating income of 50 billion yuan and an annual tax payment of 3 billion yuan, thereby promoting the concentrated development, transformation, and upgrading of the logistics industry. It will reduce the logistics cost of surrounding enterprises by more than 30%, greatly improve the logistics service level of Jiaozhou and even Qingdao, and strongly promote the sustainable and sound development of the economy and society of Jiaozhou and even Qingdao.
