Zhang Xinzhu Met with Guests from Kazakhstan

On November 22, Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Secretary of the CPC Working Committee of SCODA, met with Akkoshkarov Nurlan Sovetovich, Minister Counsellor of the Kazakhstan Embassy in China and Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the SCO Secretariat, and his team attending the SCO Countries Cross-Border Transport Potential Promotional Conference, at the Qingdao · SCODA Pearl International Expo Center. Zhang Qingwei, Deputy Director General of the Shandong Department of Commerce attended the meeting.

Zhang Xinzhu hoped that the two sides would form synergy based on previous exploration, integrate open resources, seize the development opportunities of the Belt and Road and the SCO, build open platforms such as the SCO Capital Port, the SCO International Hub Port, and the Qingdao · SCODA Pearl International Expo Center, and accelerate the implementation of the Almaty Overseas Enterprise Center and other achievements. We would also encourage relevant ports and trade institutions to set up offices in SCODA, promote logistics connectivity and platform linkage, and help enterprises improve efficiency, reduce costs, better explore markets, and share opportunities for opening up.

Nurlan Sovetovich Akkoshkarov said that Kazakhstan would strengthen cooperation with SCODA in the construction of logistics channels, expand trade scale and promote two-way investment, and jointly deepen and expand new space for Kazakhstan-China local economic and trade cooperation.
