Promotional Meeting of SCODA in Egypt Held in Cairo

On November 5, the Promotional Meeting of SCODA was held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. With the theme of "Opening Cooperation and Sharing the New Silk Road", the conference focused on promoting the policy advantages, key industries, and investment opportunities of SCODA, releasing the sincerity of SCODA, and enhancing the confidence of Egyptian enterprises in investing in SCODA. More than 100 Egyptian government officials and business representatives attended the event.

Zhang Chaoyang, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, Li Gang, Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA; Tarek Hashem, General Manager of Investment Relations of the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone; and Emad Aizragh, Chairman of the Egyptian Center for International Strategic Studies of Liberation (Tehril) and Emad al-Azrak, an expert on China affairs, attended and addressed the event. Zhou Yunjie, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Haier Group; Cai Zhongtang, Advisor of Shandong Port Group Co., Ltd., attended the event.

Zhang Chaoyang said in his speech that the Chinese Embassy in Egypt will continue to play a bridging role and make full use of international cooperation platforms such as SCODA to expand practical exchanges and cooperation between China and Egypt under the SCO framework.

Li Gang invited all parties to get to know and explore SCODA, expand cooperation in broader areas, and deepen friendship.

Tarek Hashem hoped that the cooperation between Egypt and China would be further deepened, and more cooperation would be conducted between the Suez Canal Economic Zone and SCODA.

Emad al-Azrak said that Egypt is considered to be one of the most attractive regions for foreign investment. Boasting advantages such as transportation location, and superior resources, we will continue to expand investment cooperation with China.
