Liu Jianjun Meets with Armenian Ambassador to China

Sergey Manassarian, Armenian Ambassador to China, visited SCODA on August 18. Liu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Committee, Secretary of CPC Jiaozhou Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA met with Mr. Manassarian at Service Center, SCODA.

Liu Jianjun expresses welcome and extends appreciation to Sergey Manassarian for his visit and support for SCODA and Jiaozhou. Liu says, SCODA is stepping up construction according to the goal of building a new platform for international cooperation of "Belt and Road" and forging links running eastward and westward, across land and over sea for opening up. He also invites Armenian institutions to the “International Cooperation Hub” for SCO Countries, and Armenian chambers of commerce and associations to the SCO International Investment and Trade Expo. He hopes the two sides can carry out extensive cooperation in competitive industries, business interactions, investment cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. He also expresses hopes on facilitating the establishment of sister-city relations between Qingdao and Yerevan and on promoting more practical cooperation.

Sergey Manassarian speaks highly of the progress made by SCODA. He says China stays the No.2 trading partner of Armenia for a long time. Armenia highly agrees with the “Shanghai Spirit” and the “Belt and Road” Initiative. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, and deepen interactions in business travel and culture via various forms including online introduction, exchange of cultural delegation and youth study trips, so as to make SCODA an important base for Armenia to expand presence on the Chinese market.
