    On January 25, 2024, Zhang Ming, SCO Secretary-General, was invited to attend the Roundtable on "Integrated Development of China-SCODA" held in Harbin of Heilongjiang, China.

    This event was hosted by Harbin Municipal Government of China. Officials of Harbin Municipal Government presided over and addressed the event. Liu Mingche, Permanent Representative of China to the SCO Secretariat, Zheng Wei, Secretary-General of the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the SCO, representatives of the China-SCO Ice and Snow Sports Demonstration Zone (Harbin), the China-SCO International Judicial Exchange and Cooperation Training Base (Shanghai), the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (Qingdao), the SCO Agricultural Technology Exchange and Training Demonstration Base (Yangling), the Fangchenggang International Medical Open Pilot Zone and other cooperation institutional platforms initiated and established by China attended the event.

    In his speech, Secretary-General Zhang Ming said that at present, the international influence and attraction of the SCO continue to rise, and the membership expansion is progressing steadily. The mechanisms in various fields are gradually improved, and the "SCO family" is gaining increasingly broad cooperation prospects. He believed that the integrated development of the demonstration zones, exchange bases and open pilot zones initiated by China will help to further pool competitive resources, build synergy for development and elevate the China-SCO cooperation in various fields to a new level.

    The participants introduced the construction and operation of relevant mechanisms and platforms, and exchanged views on development achievements, advantageous conditions, and long-term plans.

During the event, representatives of relevant institutional platforms signed cooperation agreements.
