Chinese Commercial Counselors in Foreign Countries Exploring SCODA & Experts Seminar on the Construction and Development of SCODA Held

On October 14, the Chinese Commercial Counselors in Foreign Countries Exploring SCODA & Experts Seminar on the Construction and Development of SCODA was held at Qingdao·SCODA Pearl International Expo Center. Xu Tongkai, former Bureau Rank Official of the European Affairs Department of the Ministry of Commerce, former senior Chinese official of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Senior Economic and Trade Officials Committee, former Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Moldova, and other Chinese commercial counselors in foreign countries, and Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, Secretary of the CPC Working Committee of SCODA, attended the event. Li Gang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA, accompanied the visit.

Zhang Xinzhu hoped that Chinese commercial counselors in foreign countries would give professional advice to SCODA to help it gather resources, give play to the value of the platform, and better serve China's opening up. He said that SCODA would solicit suggestions and advice extensively, seize the strategic window, promote implementation by the list of tasks, and measure the timeline of work progress by day, week, month, quarter, and year, to ensure greater outcomes in the development of SCODA.

Xu Tongkai and others spoke highly of the achievements in the construction of SCODA, and suggested that SCODA should strengthen its efforts in policy support and model innovation, increase the participation of SCO countries, better play the role of demonstration, and build a well-known area of SCO local economic and trade cooperation at home and abroad.

Zhang Xinzhu presented Xu Tongkai and others with the letter of appointment as the Specially-Invited Experts of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade (SCO Economic and Trade Development Research Institute). The participants interacted with the audience and delivered speeches.
