Zhang Xinzhu Attended the Forum on High-quality Development of Non-tariff Measures of Trade
On November 7, during the Sixth China International Import Expo, the Forum on High-quality Development of Non-tariff Measures of Trade was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and secretary of the CPC Working Committee of SCODA attended the event and delivered a keynote speech.
Zhang Xinzhu said that, since its inauguration, SCODA has been deeply engaged in the high-quality development of the Belt and Road. Supported by the "four centers" of international logistics, modern trade, two-way investment, and commercial, tourism, and cultural exchange, and the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, SCODA highlights the nature of public goods, amplifies the demonstrative effect, promotes the hard connectivity of economic and trading cooperation platform and the soft connectivity of economic and trading demonstration, thus providing scenarios, modes and models for the multilateral and bilateral local economic and trade cooperation of SCO countries and countries engaging in the development of the Belt and Road.
Zhang Xinzhu said that we will take the signing of the SCO Technology and Trade Base and the Spice Technology and Trade Base as an opportunity to deepen the all-round and multi-dimension cooperation with the customs system. There are also the institutional innovation advantages of AEO mutual recognition, SCO trade index, and SCO · Bank Customs Pass. We will accelerate building pilot areas for local two-way investment and trade institutional innovation, gathering areas for corporate entrepreneurship, and pioneering areas for Belt and Road local economic and trade cooperation with SCO countries, to create a new hub for opening-up in the new era.
On the same day, the Administrative Committee of SCODA signed a cooperation agreement with the Research Center for International Inspection and Quarantine Standards and Technical Regulations of the General Administration of Customs and Qingdao Customs to jointly build a research and evaluation base of technical trade measures of SCO countries.
