SCODA Signed a Memorandum of Friendly Cooperation with the Jizzakh Free Economic Zone

On April 29, the Video Dialogue & Signing Ceremony of the  Memorandum of Friendly Cooperation between SCODA and Jizzakh Free Economic Zone of Uzbekistan was held at SCODA. Li Gang, Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA delivered a speech, and Xiang Zhiqiang, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee presided over the event. Nurkin Mamazanov, the Economic and Trade Counselor of Uzbekistan Embassy in China, Aziz Elgashev, Vice Mayor of Jizzakh, Ziadin Hamidovich Saitov, Director of Jizzakh Free Economic Zone, and Marat Ubaidurayev, General Manager of ВМВ ZA’FARON attended the event.

Li Gang said that China and Uzbekistan were comprehensive strategic partners, and the bilateral cooperation yielded abundant fruits in economy and trade, investment, energy and finance. China has been the No.1 trading partner of Uzbekistan for five consecutive years. He hoped that the two sides could take this opportunity to set up a long term stable partnership and open a new chapter of cooperation.

Xiang Zhiqiang said that, Jizzakh Free Economic Zone and SCODA were platforms for the local exchanges and cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in economy, trade and culture. The establishment of the friendly cooperative relationship between the two holds great significance. This meeting will promote mutual understanding between the two industrial parks, and guide more enterprises to participate in China-Uzbekistan economic and trade cooperation.
