Zhang Xinzhu Led a Delegation to Visit Astana, Kazakhstan

On September 4, local time, Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of SCODA led a delegation to visit Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

In the morning, Zhang Xinzhu had a meeting with Aidyn Baiedilov, General Director of Kazakhstan Investment Cooperation Agency, and Kenisov Nurlan, Director of the Department of Industrial Facilities and Domestic Value Development of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan.

Zhang Xinzhu hoped to work with the Kazakhstan Investment Cooperation Agency and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan to jointly promote pragmatic cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in two-way investment, energy, trade, and other fields, and leverage important platforms such as the SCO Comprehensive Service Platform, the "Silk Road E-Commerce" Comprehensive Service Base and the Qingdao International Energy Exchange to promote more fruitful economic and trade cooperation.

Aidyn Baiedilov said that the agency would actively build bridges, assist SCODA and the relevant departments of Kazakhstan to establish contacts, strengthen exchanges and communication, tap the cooperation potential of the two sides in economic and trade and investment exchanges, and promote the implementation of more substantive economic and trade achievements.

Kenisov Nurlan said that practical cooperation between Kazakhstan and China has ushered in a sound momentum of rapid development, and the ministry would actively integrate high-quality resources, jointly build logistics infrastructure with SCODA, actively expand practical cooperation in logistics distribution, cross-border transportation, and other fields, and inject strong impetus into the high-quality economic development of the two countries.

Zhang Xinzhu and his delegation visited the Chamber of Commerce of Foreign Trade of Kazakhstan to meet and exchange ideas with the Chairman, Ayan Yelenov.

Zhang Xinzhu hoped to establish a regular communication mechanism with the Chamber of Commerce of Foreign Trade of Kazakhstan, cooperate to build the SCO Comprehensive Service Platform, deepen exchanges and interactions in the field of economy and trade between the two countries, and provide scenarios, models, and examples for international multilateral and bilateral local economic and trade cooperation under the SCO framework.

Ayan Yelenov said that the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan would actively organize key Kazakh enterprises to visit SCODA, leverage the SCO Comprehensive Service Platform and the Qingdao·SCODA Pearl International Expo Center to deepen cooperation in industrial and agricultural fields and promote bilateral economic and trade exchanges.
