Li Gang Led a Team to Visit Institutions in Beijing for Investment Promotion

From March 13 to 14, Li Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA, led a team to visit relevant institutions in Beijing, and hold investment promotion activities.

On the morning of March 13, Li Gang and his team visited the Research Center of GACC for International Inspection and Quarantine Standards and Technical Regulations, and met with Jiao Yang, Deputy Director of the Center. Li Gang hoped the Center will give full play to its policy and resource advantages, strengthen communication with SCODA, and jointly build the SCO Technical Measures to Trade Base into a benchmark for the construction of China's technical measures to trade bases.

Jiao Yang said that the Center will fully support the construction of the SCO Technical Measures to Trade Base, and carry out practical cooperation with SCODA in platform construction, standard system formulation, project research and other aspects, to jointly improve the customs clearance facilitation for trade and accelerate the integration of industrial and supply chains.

Then Li Gang and his team visited China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC), and met with Lyu Qi, General Manager of CCIC. Li Gang hoped that CCIC could strengthen the cooperation with SCODA to jointly expand the SCO markets and promote trade facilitation among SCO countries.

Lyu Qi said that CCIC will actively participate in the construction of SCODA, strengthen cooperation in the inspection, testing and certification of new energy, crude oil, agricultural products and other fields, explore the establishment of overseas inspection and certification networks, and promote the innovation and development of the inspection and testing industry.

In the afternoon, Li Gang and his team visited the National Office of Port Administration, and met with officials of the Office. Li Gang hoped that the Office could deepen cooperation and exchanges with SCODA, empower and assist SCODA in strengthening port collaboration, and improve the intelligence aspect of SCO Economic and Trade Comprehensive Service Platform.

Officials of the National Office of Port Administration said that the Office will continue to support SCODA, and fulfill its obligations and introduce high-quality resources, thus facilitating SCODA's upgrading its capacity and efficiency.

On March 14, Li Gang led the team to visit China Arts and Entertainment Group, and met with Wang Xiuqin, General Manager of the culture and tourism business of the Group. Li Gang said that the Group is an important platform for China's international cultural exchanges, and hoped that both sides could locate their common interests, and leverage the international culture and tourism brand of "Summer of SCODA" to promote the "going global and bringing in" of the culture and tourism industries of SCO countries, thus facilitating cultural prosperity.

Wang Xiuqin said that the Group will give full play to its advantages in cultural exchanges and commercial performance operation, link high-level performing arts resources, carry out practical cooperation with SCODA, and facilitate the development of commercial, tourism and cultural exchanges in SCODA.

Li Gang and the team also visited Beijing Tourism Group and met with Liu Da, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Director of the Group. Li Gang hoped that the Group could take SCODA as a platform to actively expand cooperation of various business forms in tourism, culture, conference and exhibition, by sharing resources and supporting each other for win-win results.

Liu Da said that the Group will join hands with SCODA and carry out cooperation in tourism, event organization, market development and other fields according to the development needs of SCODA, so as to jointly develop the cultural tourism market of the SCO countries.

During their stay in Beijing, Li Gang and his team also visited Beijing Milestone Technology Development Co., Ltd. among other places for investment promotion.
