From December 10 to 13, the Shandong science and technology delegation visited Hong Kong to promote science and technology exchanges and cooperation. The delegation visited relevant institutions, well-known universities, enterprises, and scientific and technological parks, to discuss new opportunities and new cooperation, and seek new development, achieving fruitful results. Sun Haisheng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director General of the Department of Science & Technology of Shandong Province, and Li Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA attended the event.

The delegation visited the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R., Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, Qingdao Business and Commerce Centre in Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Tsingtao Association. They met with heads of various institutions such as Sun Dong, Secretary of Hong Kong Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, to engage in in-depth communication on talent exchange, deepening science and technology cooperation, jointly building innovation platforms, and the commercialization of scientific and technological findings.

During their stay, the delegation also visited famous universities and science and technology parks, such as the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, the University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Cyberport. The delegation met with Wong Hak Keung, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, to promote the pragmatic cooperation among SCODA, the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, and Hualu Group in jointly building science and technology parks, deepening industrial connection and expanding domestic and international markets, etc.

Li Gang said that SCODA would deepen cooperation with relevant institutions and enterprises of Hong Kong in the commercialization of scientific and technological findings, sharing science and technology resources and talents, and form synergy to promote the digital economy, thus continuously promoting the resilience and safety of industrial and supply chains. Meanwhile, SCODA will leverage its role as public goods, strive to build platforms, connect resources and provide solutions, to connect the resources and markets of SCO countries and countries engaged in Belt and Road development, and provide abundant cooperation scenarios for science enterprises in Hong Kong, thus facilitating connectivity and win-win results.
