Zhang Xinzhu Led a Team to Visit Xinjiang
From January 22 to 23, Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of SCODA, attended the China-Uzbekistan Local Cooperation Forum, and led a team to visit the Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps 12th Division, and Khorgos to discuss cooperation.
At the Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Zhang Xinzhu met with Xing Tao, Vice Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director General of the Department. Zhang Xinzhu hoped that the Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will continue to support the work of SCODA. And SCODA will highlight its attributes of public goods, amplify the demonstration effect, strengthen the collaboration with Xinjiang, create a new model of cooperation between Shandong and Xinjiang, and serve China's opening up in a holistic and systematic manner.
Xing Tao hoped that the two sides will carry out close cooperation in the fields of logistics channels, production capacity cooperation and industrial transfer to achieve complementary advantages and common development.
Zhang Xinzhu also visited Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps 12th Division to exchange ideas with relevant officials. Zhang Xinzhu hoped that the two sides will continue to cooperate actively, create benchmarking demonstrations, integrate more resources, strengthen industrial synergy, turn the flow economy into an industrial economy, and work together to promote high-quality Belt and Road development.
The leadership of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps 12th Division said that they will seize the new opportunities of China's opening up, accelerate the progress of cooperation projects, and contribute more to promoting cooperation between the two sides and serving the national strategies.
On January 23, Zhang Xinzhu visited the comprehensive bonded zone, highway port, and China-Kazakhstan Khorgos International Border Cooperation Center in Khorgos, to learn more about the history, channel construction, economic and trade exchanges and other situations in Khorgos and explore cooperation opportunities with relevant local officials. Zhang Xinzhu hoped that on the basis of the previous communication, the two sides will establish a sound cooperation mechanism, promote the work through platforms, effectively form a synergy for development, jointly explore rules, regulations, management, standards and other institutional opening up, and strive to promote opening up through links running eastward and westward, across land and over sea, to help enterprises improve efficiency, reduce costs, and expand the market and thus better integrate into the domestic and international dual circulation.
