Zeng Zanrong Inspected SCODA

On March 16, Zeng Zanrong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Committee and Vice Governor of Shandong, inspected SCODA. Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Committee, and Secretary of the Party Working Committee, and Li Gang, Vice Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA accompanied.

At the Qingdao · SCODA Pearl International Expo Center, Zeng Zanrong heard the introduction on the construction of SCODA and highly commended Qingdao's achievements in building SCODA by adopting the working mechanism of whole-region synergy led by one core. He also recognized SCODA's fruitful results in making strenuous efforts to build platforms, create models, gather industries and strengthen entities, as well as developing the four centers and the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade. He stressed that Shandong has close trade exchanges and broad cooperation space with SCO countries. Shandong should seize the opportunity of SCO membership expansion, further expand the trade scale, improve the level of investment and trade facilitation, and promote deeper and more solid economic and trade cooperation. We should target precisely, ensure the success and high-level organization of major events such as the SCO Industrial and Supply Chains Forum, focus on the characteristics and strengths of the industrial and supply chains of SCO countries, and carry out in-depth cooperation across the whole chain in agriculture, oil and gas and other fields. We should make full use of the resources of the platform, operate the Qingdao · SCODA Pearl International Expo Center by high standards, improve the international operation of the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Comprehensive Service Platform, and strengthen the offline capacity of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, thus providing a platform and support for trade and people-to-people exchanges among SCO countries.

At the exhibition area of SCO cultural elements, Zeng Zanrong communicated with the businessmen who settled in, and learned about their business operations in detail. He encouraged them to leverage the platform of SCODA to vigorously develop the e-commerce economy and become participants and promoters of the economic and trade exchanges among SCO countries.
