Officials of the Policy Research Department and the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce Inspected Trade between Qingdao and SCO Countries

On January 31, Yu Zirong, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, and He Yadong, Deputy Director General of the Policy Research Department of the Ministry of Commerce visited the Shandong Port Group and other companies to inspect SCODA's working mechanism of whole-region synergy led by one core and promote the trade with SCO countries. Zhang Dong, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA, accompanied.

At the Shandong Port Group, Liu Jin, Member of the Party Committee, Assistant General Manager of Shandong Port Group, and Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman and General Manager of the Shandong Port International Trade Group Co., Ltd., said that, the Shandong Port International Trade Group actively carried out bulk commodity trade, energy supply and foreign trade stabilization by leveraging the resource advantages of the Shandong Port. Meanwhile, the group gave full play to the unique advantages of SCODA in resource agglomeration and business coordination, actively participated in the construction of the SCO International Hub Port, opened a new route of "China-Russia Express" between SCODA and Vladivostok Port, and effectively promoted economic and trade exchanges among SCO countries through platforms such as the Qingdao International Energy Exchange.

Yu Zirong and He Yadong said that they will utilize their resources of platforms and think tanks to add new momentum and vitality to help Qingdao expand international cooperation along the Belt and Road.

Before the meeting, He Yadong and Yu Zirong visited the fully automated container terminal and cultural exhibition hall of Shandong Port and other sites.
