Li Gang Met with Guest from China International Publishing Group

On July 14, Li Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA, led a team to Beijing and visited Yu Tao, Deputy Director-General of China International Publishing Group (CIPG). The two sides exchanged views on the preparation of the 2022 SCO Media & Think Tank Forum, organizing an SCO Chinese Calligraphy Competition, and the construction of think tanks.

Li Gang said that, at present, the Administrative Committee of SCODA and the Communication Center for Central and Eastern Europe and South-Central Asia of CIPG (China Pictorial) are actively preparing for the SCO Media & Think Tank Forum, and a series of practical cooperation and fruitful results have been yielded. Li Gang also hoped that the CIPG will continue to pay close attention to and support the development of SCODA, provide guidance and assistance to the SCODA in jointly holding exchange and promotion activities within the SCO framework, promoting media exchanges and cooperation among SCO countries, and strengthening personnel training and academic exchanges, and help SCODA to build more demonstration projects for media, think tanks, education and other exchanges with SCO countries.

Yu Tao said that CIPG will continue to give full play to its advantages in expanding foreign communication channels and improving foreign service capabilities, encourage SCODA to participate in or hold relevant exchange activities under the SCO framework, and help SCODA to build a new platform for international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
