Connect with Scientific Innovation Resources of the Yangtze River Delta! SCODA G60 Innovation and Collaboration Center Unveiled at the Sixth China International Import Expo
On November 8, at the 2023 Key Factors Bridging Conference on High-Quality Development of the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta, a supporting activity of the Sixth China International Import Expo held in Shanghai, the G60 Innovation and Collaboration Center of SCODA was inaugurated. It is a way for SCODA to expand the "circle of friends" in the Yangtze River Delta region and deepen the connection of high-quality resources. This is also the latest practice of collaborating with the Yangtze River Delta G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor to promote high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road. Cheng Xiangmin, Secretary of the CPC Songjiang District Committee of Shanghai; and Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Secretary of the CPC Working Committee of SCODA, and other officials jointly unveiled the G60 Innovation and Collaboration Center of SCODA.
As a national strategic platform, the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta is forming an urban cluster with the most dynamic development, the highest degree of openness, and the strongest innovation capacity in the Yangtze River Delta region. SCODA actively links global resources and is accelerating the building of a new platform for Belt and Road international cooperation. The two sides share the spirit of openness and are highly complementary in industrial development, market connection, and resource integration. At the 2023 SCO Industrial and Supply Chains Forum held in June, together with 40 domestic and foreign platforms and industrial parks, including the Yangtze River Delta G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, SCODA initiated the establishment of the China-SCO Industrial Park Alliance, aiming to build an exchange platform and partnership network for the Yangtze River Delta G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor to access SCO countries, realizing information sharing, logistics connectivity and project communication.
After the establishment of the G60 Innovation and Collaboration Center of SCODA, it will further leverage the public product attributes of SCODA and the advantages of the national strategic platform of the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta, link the science and innovation resources of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and other cities in the Yangtze River Delta region, and build a cross-regional industry and regional collaborative innovation platform. It will build a G60 scientific innovation demonstration platform integrating "innovation center, incubation center, talent center, and investment center", strengthen industrial connectivity and undertaking, and promote the integration of the industrial chain, supply chain, capital chain, and talent chain of the two places in a larger scope, further improve the ability to allocate resource factors and service radiation and driving force, thus better serving the construction of a new development pattern.
At present, SCODA actively integrates the resources of the three circles of the provincial, domestic, and international markets, and strives to connect resources to promote integration, connectivity, collaboration, and interaction. Oriented toward the domestic market, SCODA has set up liaison centers in Beijing and Shanghai, and organized economic and trade exchanges such as the seminar in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to cooperate and collaborate with the Yangtze River Delta and the Greater Bay Area. SCODA has also worked with Gansu, Shaanxi, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Heilongjiang and other areas to promote economic coordination, logistics connectivity, and industrial synergy, jointly expanding the trading market in SCO and countries engaging in the development of the Belt and Road.
By playing the role of a window platform, continuing to amplify the spillover effect, SCODA links domestic resources, and promotes the coordinated development dynamic. For instance, the strategic cooperation of the Invest in SCODA · Greater Bay Area Business Association was launched, and nine business associations, including the Guangdong Province Federation of Industry Association, have been engaged to build a bridge for cooperation and exchanges between SCODA and enterprises from the Greater Bay Area. SCODA has explored cooperation and co-construction modes with Lanzhou New Area on transportation and logistics, modern trade, production capacity investment, policy coordination, and other fields. It has strengthened cooperation with the Kashgar Administration in logistics channel construction, port coordination, overseas development, and other aspects. It has inaugurated the Kashgar Port Area of the SCO International Hub Port, creating a new example of "Shandong-Xinjiang cooperation".
In the future, SCODA will continue to strengthen the attributes of public goods, link high-quality resources in the Yangtze River Delta region, carry out practical cooperation with key domestic open cities and open platforms in logistics channel construction, production capacity cooperation, industrial transfer, and other fields, strengthen country studies and industrial research on SCO countries, and jointly forge the advantages of industry and technology. Efforts should be made to address the pain points and difficulties in local economic and trade cooperation among SCO countries, and accelerate the building of a new platform for Belt and Road international cooperation.
