“SCO Walking into Winter Olympics”Press Conference on 2021 SCO Marathon Series Held, 18 SCO Countries Join Hands to Run, Build Great Wall of Friendship

"SCO Walking into Winter Olympics" press conference on 2021 SCO Marathon Series was held in Badaling Great Wall scenic area in Beijing on April 30. Vladimir Norov, SCO Secretary General, Li Hui, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs, Zohir Saidzoda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the People's Republic of China attended and addressed the event. Cui Li, Vice Chairman of the SCO Good Neighbor and Friendly Cooperation Commission attended the press conference.

During the event, diplomats from SCO countries visited Beijing International Garden Festival, watched speed skating training, planted SCO friendship woods, and climbed up the Great Wall with SCO Running Group, as warm-up for 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

It was announced during the press conference on 2021 SCO Marathon Series that, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the SCO, SCO Marathon Series would be held respectively in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, SCO rotating chairmanship and China. Among these events, SCO Lake Issyk-kul Marathon will be held on May 15th, SCO Dushanbe Marathon will be held on June 13th, while SCO Kunming Marathon will be held on December 5th. Marathon enthusiasts from SCO countries will once again gather at the racing track, renew friendship, and celebrate the 20th birthday of SCO.
