The 622nd Train Dispatched! China-Europe Freight Trains (Qilu) Opened in SCODA Exceeded Last Year's Total
On November 1, the return train of the China-Europe Freight Train (Qilu) "SCO Express" successfully departed from Belarus. This is the 622nd China-Europe freight train run by SCODA this year, indicating that the number of China-Europe freight trains in SCODA has exceeded the total volume of last year.
The train consisting of 62 forty-foot standard containers loaded with more than 1,600 tons of potassium chloride will depart from Kari fourth station in Belarus, enter China via Erenhot port, and arrive at the multimodal transport center of SCODA in about 20 days. Since the beginning of this year, the China-Europe Freight Train (Qilu) continued its strong development momentum at SCODA, with a total of 620 trains running in the first ten months, up by 36.3% year-on-year. The 622nd China-Europe Freight Train marked a record high of the total number of China-Europe freight trains in SCODA.
Up till now, SCODA has run 28 international and domestic freight train routes to Dushanbe of Tajikistan, Bishkek of Kyrgyzstan and Hamburg of Germany, accessing 52 cities in 22 SCO countries and countries along the Belt and Road. Since the beginning of this year, a batch of special trains were newly opened, including the two-way train between SCODA and Mannheim, Germany, SCODA-Hungary-Serbia special line, the "SCO Express" Samarkand special train, the first soybean special return train and coal special return train. And the westbound international transport channel from Qingdaoto Europe is further opened up.
In the future, SCODA will implement the requirements of the 20th CPC National Congress, actively carry forward the "Shanghai Spirit" and the "Silk Road Spirit", continue to innovate the mode and expand the radiation range of freight trains, strengthen the construction of train routes, promote the exploration of the southbound freight train across the two seas, and enhance the capacity of overseas comprehensive logistics services. SCODA will also actively promote the construction of the international logistics center and the international super port to promote SCO local economic and trade cooperation.
