International Exchange Center of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade Inaugurated
On July 28, the inauguration ceremony and opening ceremony of the International Exchange Center of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade was held at SCODA, marking the completion and operation of the real entity of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, as well as a new phase of its materialized operation. Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of SCODA, Hu Zhiping, Deputy Director of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Li Xiaozhe, Deputy Director of the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of the Ministry of Education, and Yu Rong, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Committee for Discipline Inspection of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce attended the event and delivered speeches. Logvinov Grigory, SCO Deputy Secretary General, and Li Gang, Vice Secretary of the Party Working Committee of and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA, attended the event.
Zhang Xinzhu hoped that through this event, all sides could further deepen understanding and build consensus, jointly promote the construction of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, "cultivate talents" for SCO countries, "build a platform" for multilateral economic and trade cooperation, and create a practical blueprint and realistic example of international economic and trade cooperation. We sincerely invite all guests to come to SCODA to renew friendship, seek common development, and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road.
Hu Zhiping said that the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education will firmly carry forward the "Shanghai Spirit", care for and support the development of SCODA and the construction of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, continue to consolidate good-neighborly friendship and political mutual trust among the member states, and work together to build an even closer SCO community with a shared future.
Li Xiaozhe said that the center will work with all parties to train more talents with international vision and familiar with multilateral rules for regional integration and development, and build a platform for exchanges and cooperation among SCO countries in economy, trade, education and other fields.
Yu Rong said that the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce will give full support to SCODA and China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade through the multilateral and bilateral economic and trade cooperation mechanism, and help the institute pursue high-level and characteristic achievements, and cultivate high-end international economic and trade talents.
Representatives of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Moscow State University and other relevant universities delivered speeches online or offline.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Administrative Committee of SCODA and the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade signed strategic cooperation agreements with universities, research institutes and educational institutions at home and abroad, including the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of the Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, and Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
And the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade was unveiled.
The appointment ceremony of honorary professors (representatives) of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade was also held on site, and the course package and the training plan for the second half of 2023 of China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade were released.
