Plans are Adjusted for Two Parcels in the SCODA
Recently, Jiaozhou’s planning authority published two pre-approval announcements regarding the adjustment of regulatory plans for the parcel to the south of Qiantangjiang Road, west of Jiaoda Avenue, north of Ruyi Lake, and east of Chuangxin Avenue in Unit M specified in the Regulatory Plan for Jiaozhou Industrial New Area, and for the parcel to the east of Shangde Avenue, south of Weihe Road, west of Wuliu Avenue, and north of Luohe Road in Unit C specified in the Regulatory Plan for Jiaozhou Industrial New Area.
The first parcel involves the parcel to the north of Ruyi Lake in Jiaozhou SCODA. The figure below shows the adjusted regulatory plan (location: to the south of Qiantangjiang Road, west of Jiaoda Avenue, north of Ruyi Lake, and east of Chuangxin Avenue)
The Administrative Committee and the SCO Central Park under construction are located to the south of the parcel, and the planned Ruyi Lake Park is located to the north of the parcel.
The Ruyi Lake Park is located in the SCODA, with a water area of about 800,000 m² and a landscape greening area of about 650,000 m² . The total investment is about 314 million yuan. Ruyi Lake is named after its shape of ruyi ( an S-shaped ornamental object, usually made of jade) when viewed from above. There is a sightseeing pier that allows people to enjoy the view of the mid-lake island and get close to seabirds and nature. The Seagull Bridge spans the lake. When viewed from a distance, it presents an artistic conception of “mirroring seagulls and landscapes.”
On February 4, Liu Jianjun, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Committee, secretary of CPC Jiaozhou Committee, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the SCODA, and director of the Administrative Committee of the SCODA, investigated the Ruyi Lake Park and the landscape enhancement work along the park in the SCODA.
Liu said that Ruyi Lake acts as the “urban green lung” of the SCODA and has the functions of flood discharge, ecological oxygen bar, and public leisure space. Efforts should be made to build this “green living room” at a high level, improve the quality and scale of the park, and integrate ecological, cultural, and leisure functions.
Liu stressed the need to increase water, expand greening, and create a plant landscape system with rich and ecological functions through high-standard, high-quality, and scientific planning. Meticulous efforts are required to strengthen park management. The construction of parking lots, public rest and viewing facilities, lighting, greening, business, and other supporting facilities should be improved, and functional facilities and service support should be continuously enhanced. The cultural connotation and style of the park should be constantly elevated through careful planning and quality control. Innovative initiatives should be taken to introduce sports events such as marathons. Multimedia visual creative art should be comprehensively used to further enrich Ruyi Lake and supporting business forms. The park is expected to become a new popular landmark in the SCODA.
