Shandong-Macao Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference Held in Macao for SCODA to Collaborate with a High-Capacity Opening up Platform and Expand the International Trade Market
On October 19, the Shandong-Macao Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference themed on Sharing New Opportunities for Opening up and Development was held in Macao. Zhang Liansan, Director of the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Affairs Office of Shandong Province; Li Zaosen, Executive Member of the Administrative Committee of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute; and Chen Jie, Member of the Standing Committee of CPPCC Shandong Provincial Committee, Chairman and Executive President of the Federation of Shandong Associations (Macao), attended the event and delivered speeches. Lin Guohua, Level 1 Bureau Rank Official of Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, Secretary of the CPC Working Committee of SCODA, delivered presentations. Teng Shuangxing, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director General of the Development and Reform Commission of Shandong Province, presided over the event.
Zhang Liansan said in his speech that he hoped to take this event as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges between Shandong and Macao, better coordinate the strategy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and serve the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Li Zaosen said in his speech that Shandong enterprises are welcome to participate in various economic and trade exhibitions in Macao, and deepen economic, trade, and investment cooperation with Portuguese-speaking countries by leveraging conferences and exhibitions as a vehicle for cooperation. The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute will give full play to its advantages to build a bridge of cooperation and help enterprises in Shandong and Macao to cooperate and develop.
Chen Jie said that the Federation of Macao Shandong Community Organizations would give full play to its organizational advantages and resource integration capabilities, continue to deepen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in finance, logistics, tourism, and so on, and provide opportunities for enterprises of the two sides to participate in the construction of the "Belt and Road" and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
In recent years, Shandong has actively integrated into the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, built open platforms such as SCODA, and organized a series of promotion activities for "Remarkable Shandong" Exploring the Greater Bay Area in Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen, and other cities. "We hope to further deepen cooperation with Macao and bring more high-quality agricultural products from Shandong to Portuguese-speaking countries and the rest of the world." Lin Guohua said.
Zhang Xinzhu said in his presentation that, "The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is the frontier and industrial hub of China's opening up, and it has broad cooperation space and huge cooperation potential with SCODA. I would like to invite friends from various sectors to care for SCODA, visit SCODA, and build up cooperation and friendship in broader areas and at a deeper level. You are welcome to leverage SCODA, an international public and open platform, to enrich cooperation content, expand cooperation space, and share new opportunities for high-quality development under the Belt and Road Initiative."
During the conference, the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Federation of Macao Shandong Community Organizations signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and six projects were signed between enterprises from Shandong and Macao.
