Qilu Eurasian Block Train from Europe First Inbound to SCODA

On April 6, the first Qilu Eurasian Block Train returned from Finland coordinated and operated by Shandong High-speed Group successfully arrived at the SCODA Qingdao Multimodal Transport Center, which was also the first train inbound to the SCODA from Europe since the opening of the Qilu Eurasian Block Train in the SCODA.

It is learned that this inbound train contained 45 compartments fully loaded with cargos such as machinery, sheet metal and daily necessities. Departing from Helsinki, Finland, the train entered into China from Erenhot and eventually took a 22-day trip to arrive in Jiaozhou, Qingdao. The smooth arrival of this train has laid a solid foundation for the SCODA to expand economic and trade exchanges/cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road and in Europe, and open up new logistics channels.

As of now, the SCODA Qingdao Multimodal Transport Center has opened 20 domestic and international lines, reaching 76 cities across 18 Belt and Road countries and SCO countries. From January to March this year, a total of 156 Qilu Eurasian Block Trains have been operated at the SCODA Qingdao Multimodal Transport Center, with a year-on-year growth rate of 110.8% and ranking the first in Shandong Province in trains operated.
