SCODA Investment Presentation & Project Signing Ceremony Held in Shanghai
On May 10, the Investment Presentation & Project Signing Ceremony of China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA) was held in Shanghai. Eight key projects with a total investment of 27.1 billion yuan were signed, and the "1+N" investment promotion policies of SCODA were issued, adding new impetus to the high-level opening up of SCODA.
Ji Zhiye, Former President, Researcher of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, Honorary President of SCO Economic and Trade Development Research Institute, Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of SCODA, Li Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA, and Chen Jinxiu, Deputy Director General of the Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government in Shanghai attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. At the event, eight key projects with a total investment of 27.1 billion yuan, including the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, the SCO Countries Product Certification Service Platform project, the Hilton International Hotel project, and the Han Xing Sodium-ion Battery project, were signed and launched, involving new energy, modern commerce and trade, and smart manufacturing, which will further maintain the stability of the industrial and supply chains of SCO countries, and help SCODA accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system with SCO characteristics.

During the event, SCODA released "1+N" policies for investment promotion.
Ji Zhiye believes that SCODA already has elements of cooperation among SCO countries, which will generate great attraction, accelerating the forming of a new platform for international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Li Gang said in the promotion that 30 international and domestic freight train routes have been running at SCODA, connecting 54 cities in 23 SCO and Belt and Road countries, and gradually building an international logistics corridor covering the whole province, reaching the Yellow River Basin, transcending the Eurasian continent, connecting Japan, ROK and ASEAN. China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Comprehensive Service Platform has been innovatively built, attracted more than 4,300 domestic and foreign enterprises, and has become a home port for enterprises from SCO countries to enter China and a platform for Chinese enterprises to enter SCO countries.
