2023 "SCO Summer" China-SCO Countries Culture and Tourism Promotion Week Launched

    On July 28, the Launching Ceremony of 2023 "SCO Summer" China-SCO Countries Culture and Tourism Promotion Week was held at Qingdao · SCODA Pearl International Expo Center. Logvinov Grigory, SCO Deputy Secretary General, Zhang Xinzhu, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of SCODA, Wan Ting, Deputy Director of the Network of International Culturalink Entities, and Juan Gaspart, Special Representative of the World Tourism Organization, attended the event and delivered speeches. Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), delivered a video speech. Li Gang, Vice Secretary of the Party Working Committee of and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of SCODA, attended the event.

    In his speech, Zhang Xinzhu said that 2023 "SCO Summer" is a feast of cultural integration and mutual learning organized by SCODA with the integration of resources from all over the region, aiming to build a bridge of people-to-people integration. It creates a model of deepening mutual trust and cooperation, and opens a new chapter in business, tourism and cultural exchanges among SCO countries.

    In his speech, Logvinov Grigory said that this event provided an opportunity for SCO countries to further strengthen cooperation and deepen understanding in the fields of tourism interaction and cultural heritage protection, and promote the cultural and people-to-people exchanges of the "SCO family" to a new level.

    Zurab Pololikashvili said in the video message that he hopes to take the event as a platform to promote the cooperation between the United Nations World Tourism Organization and the SCO to a new level.

    Juan said in his speech that the UNWTO will, as always, support the relevant works of SCO, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with SCO countries through platform cooperation, and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.

    Wan Ting expressed the belief that with the joint efforts of all parties, cooperation in the field of culture and tourism within the SCO framework will be injected with more vitality, further promoting mutual cultural learning and people-to-people exchanges among SCO countries, and working together to build an even closer SCO cultural community.

The "SCO Countries Artists Visit" was launched concurrently.

    It is reported that the 2023 "SCO Summer" China-SCO Countries Culture and Tourism Promotion Week will last until August 6. In this period, by leveraging the exhibition area of the cultural elements of SCO countries set up in the Qingdao · SCODA Pearl International Expo Center, the tourism resources promotion activities of Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and other SCO countries will be organized. It will fully showcase the beautiful natural scenery, unique history, culture and colorful customs of SCO countries, and enhance cultural exchanges and mutually beneficial tourism cooperation among the countries.

    With the official launch of 2023 "SCO Summer" China-SCO Countries Culture and Tourism Promotion Week, the series of activities for 2023 "SCO Summer" have been fully launched and will last until September 23, until which nearly 50 characteristic activities will be held, including SCO Media & Think Tank Forum, cultural and artistic performances, featured product promotions, and sports and leisure events.
