From September 7 to 8, Lin Wu, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, led a delegation of Shandong Province to visit Kyrgyzstan.

During the visit, Lin Wu met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov, and Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov.

Lin Wu hoped that the two sides would promote more exchanges between local governments, establish more sister-city relations, and constantly expand the channels of friendly exchanges. He hoped that the two sides would further strengthen exchanges and cooperation under the SCO framework, encourage more Kyrgyz economic and trade parks, enterprises, and institutions to participate in the construction of SCODA, and build a new platform for China-Kyrgyzstan local economic and trade cooperation. He hoped that the two sides would give full play to their resource endowment and industrial complementarity, deepen cooperation in agricultural product processing, textiles, machinery and equipment, resource development, and other fields, and promote the implementation of projects. He expected that the two sides would uphold the Silk Road spirit, further strengthen people-to-people exchanges, strengthen cultural and tourism cooperation, and enhance the ties between the two peoples.

The Kyrgyz side said that developing friendly relations with Shandong Province was in line with the local development demands of Kyrgyzstan and the common interests of both sides. Under the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China in the new era, we stand ready to comprehensively strengthen practical cooperation with Shandong Province and push the Belt and Road cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China to a new level.

On the morning of September 8, Lin Wu and Akylbek Japarov jointly attended the China (Shandong) -Kyrgyzstan Enterprise Cooperation Exchange Meeting and delivered speeches.

Lin Wu said that Shandong and Kyrgyzstan shared a high degree of compatibility in industrial development, infrastructure construction, and market cultivation, demonstrating strong complementarity and huge potential for cooperation. We would like to work together to expand and strengthen our competitive industries, promote market expansion and sharing, infrastructure connectivity, personnel and technology exchanges, and cooperation. It was hoped that enterprises from both sides would fully leverage the opportunities of jointly building the Belt and Road, strengthen cooperation and join hands for development, and make greater contributions to promoting the local economic prosperity of Shandong and Kyrgyzstan.

At the event, relevant cooperation agreements and projects were signed.

Lin Wu and Akylbek Japarov jointly attended the opening ceremony of the Shandong Heavy Industry Maintenance Service Center & the Gift Ceremony of Zhongtong CT Medical Vehicle.

Lin Wu and Edil Baisalov jointly watched the "China-Central Asia People's Year of Culture and Art" & the artistic performance of "Friendly Shandong · Friendship along the Silk Road" in Kyrgyzstan.

During the visit, Lin Wu met with Kanat Jumagaziev, Governor of Chuiskaya Oblast. Shandong Province and Chuiskaya Oblast signed an agreement on establishing friendly province relations. Agreements on the establishment of friendly cooperative city relations were signed between Liaocheng and Issyk-Ata District, Shenxian County and Kant City, and Dong'e  County and Novopokrovka District respectively.

Lin Wu said that Chuiskaya Oblast boasts rich resources, relatively well-developed industry and agriculture, occupying an important position in the national economy of Kyrgyzstan. Shandong, a major province in China in terms of the economy, is speeding up its green, low-carbon, and high-quality development. Cooperation between the two sides has a solid foundation and broad prospects. He hoped that the two sides would work together to open up friendly channels of exchange, strengthen inter-governmental exchanges, jointly strengthen cooperation in agriculture, mineral development, logistics, and other key areas, further enhance people-to-people exchanges, and write a new chapter of mutual benefits and win-win results.

Kanat Jumagaziev hoped that the two sides would take the establishment of friendly province relations as a new starting point, promote exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, industry, culture, and other fields, further consolidate traditional friendship and promote mutual benefits and win-win results.

Kyrgyz Ministers of Economy and Commerce, Agriculture, Energy, Natural Resources, Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy, Mayor of Bishkek, Zhang Haibo, Member and Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, and Du Dewen, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan attended the relevant activities. Heads of relevant municipal and provincial departments of Shandong Province accompanied the visit.
